The Musi Makeover: ₹1,108 Crore Approved for Temple & Connectivity

The Telangana government has sanctioned INR 1,108.27 Crore for major infrastructure upgrades under the Musi Riverfront Project.

The majority of the funding—INR 948.65 Crore—will be directed toward the architectural development of the Sri Omkareshwara Swamy temple complex in Manchirevula. Additionally, INR 159.62 Crore has been approved to construct a 2.5 km, six-lane approach road. This roadway will link neighboring hubs like the Young India Police School and integrate the temple seamlessly into the broader Musi Riverfront corridor.

To ensure quality and transparency, the state has also established a high-level technical committee tasked with providing expert oversight, reviewing project reports, setting specialized stone-carving rates, and managing the tendering process.
